About “Sister (Reprise)”

“Sister (Reprise)” is a hidden song by Indigo Girls from their album Come On Now Social.

The first of two hidden songs found on Come On Now Social, preceding “Philosophy Of Loss”.

About Come On Now Social

Indigo Girls’ album Come On Now Social was released in 1999 and was a departure from their previous acoustic sound, incorporating more rock elements. The album features guest appearances from Sheryl Crow, Joan Osborne, and Me’Shell Ndegeocello, among others.

The album opens with the upbeat and catchy “Go,” which sets the tone for the rest of the album. Other standout tracks include “Compromise,” which features a strong electric guitar riff and driving rhythm, and “Shame on You,” a political song about the exploitation of Native Americans.

While the album still contains the socially conscious and politically charged lyrics that are characteristic of the Indigo Girls’ music, the addition of rock elements gives it a fresh and energetic sound. Come On Now Social is an excellent example of the band’s ability to evolve their sound while staying true to their roots.
