About Help! Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
The North American version of the Beatles’ Help! soundtrack was released on August 13, 1965, by Capitol Records, and it featured a different track listing than the UK version. The album included seven songs from the film and three instrumental pieces composed by Ken Thorne. The album opens with the title track “Help!”, followed by “The Night Before” and “From Me to You Fantasy”. Other notable tracks include “Ticket to Ride”, “You’re Going to Lose That Girl”, and “You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away”. The album also features an instrumental version of the “Help!” theme, which was performed by Ken Thorne And His Orchestra. Despite the differences in the track listing, the North American version of Help! was a commercial success, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and staying on the chart for 9 weeks.
